Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program or popularly called 4P’s is an “Anti-poverty centerpiece” or the flagship anti-poverty program of Aquino’s Admiration. Its objective is social assistance and social development to the poor.

We can say for some instance that 4P’s are an important relief measure of the government. This program is evidently a poverty reduction program designed to address topics such as education and health, improve the prospects of children for upward social and economic mobility.

For many beneficiaries, this is the first time that they have receive direct support from government on a relatively sustained basis and are so thankful for the support.

But what is going on right now is that those who are not qualified or over-qualified are those who got a slot as a beneficiary of the said program and some of the most wretched of the poor Filipino like the indigenous people (Ita’s) didn’t even get to receive of this monetary amount from the government.

It said that this program will help the poor family to alleviate their basic needs, but for some instance, it didn’t get there instead our government is teaching the people to become indolent instead of encouraging them to work. The government should focus more on how to put quality job creation and the protection of workers' rights, including women’s rights, in the vanguard of its anti-poverty agenda.

The program being conducted by the Aquino administration is the not sensible strategy against poverty at all because as a matter of fact one of the most significant factors in fighting against poverty is employment.  And in this world poverty is always there you can never get rid of it.

The government should consider the reality that in order to overcome this program they should concentrate more to the lack of school infrastructure, health facilities, health benefits and means of transport, things needed to support the program. Even though many Pilipino are happy about this, but still for some they not content especially in the poorer areas.

Take note that 4 P’s encourages a dole-out mentality instead of self-sufficiency and diligence. And In this case government is not the only problem but also the people who give up seeking for living and just await 4 P’s, it’s like the government is spoon feeding the people and letting them rely on the momentary amount.

One the bright side, at least they have done something worth fighting for about poverty rather than doing nothing at all, setting expanding belly in their chair.
