4P’S:  BOTH SIDES

Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program or popularly called 4P’s is an “Anti-poverty centerpiece” or the flagship anti-poverty program of Aquino’s Admiration. Its objective is social assistance and social development to the poor.

We can say for some instance that 4P’s are an important relief measure of the government. This program is evidently a poverty reduction program designed to address topics such as education and health, improve the prospects of children for upward social and economic mobility.

For many beneficiaries, this is the first time that they have receive direct support from government on a relatively sustained basis and are so thankful for the support.

But what is going on right now is that those who are not qualified or over-qualified are those who got a slot as a beneficiary of the said program and some of the most wretched of the poor Filipino like the indigenous people (Ita’s) didn’t even get to receive of this monetary amount from the government.

It said that this program will help the poor family to alleviate their basic needs, but for some instance, it didn’t get there instead our government is teaching the people to become indolent instead of encouraging them to work. The government should focus more on how to put quality job creation and the protection of workers' rights, including women’s rights, in the vanguard of its anti-poverty agenda.

The program being conducted by the Aquino administration is the not sensible strategy against poverty at all because as a matter of fact one of the most significant factors in fighting against poverty is employment.  And in this world poverty is always there you can never get rid of it.

The government should consider the reality that in order to overcome this program they should concentrate more to the lack of school infrastructure, health facilities, health benefits and means of transport, things needed to support the program. Even though many Pilipino are happy about this, but still for some they not content especially in the poorer areas.

Take note that 4 P’s encourages a dole-out mentality instead of self-sufficiency and diligence. And In this case government is not the only problem but also the people who give up seeking for living and just await 4 P’s, it’s like the government is spoon feeding the people and letting them rely on the momentary amount.

One the bright side, at least they have done something worth fighting for about poverty rather than doing nothing at all, setting expanding belly in their chair.

Hours of sitting may lead to an

 early death

A Recent studies show that sitting all day may leads to an early death. Sitting all day may lead to having a serious heart disease, The more hours we spend sitting at work, driving, lying on the couch watching TV, or engaged in other leisurely pursuits, the greater their odds of dying early from all causes, including cancer according from the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.

Even if we exercise daily is at risk if most of their hours are spent sitting. It means that an hour of vigorous exercise would not make up for the hours spent sitting.

Extended sitting results to lack of muscle contractions and successive body movements.  When you sit, you expend fewer calories than you would while standing. Muscle contraction is very important for blood flow simulation and it removes toxins from the body via the lymphatic system, a complex filtering system in our bodies. It also clears fat and glucose from our bloodstream.

Another study, published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, found that adults who sat for more than 11 hours a day had a 40 percent increased risk of dying within 3 years– from any cause– compared with those who sat for less than 4 hours a day.

Avoiding inactivity is important for your health. Sitting is a part of our daily lives, but we could avoid too much of it by sitting less.

Photo: Google. Com

“It hurts! He made me feel so very special. I had feeling I’d never felt before. But then again he said that he didn’t think our relationship would work.  I thought my life had ended. I cried all day and night-It hard to lose him. Love sucks.”-Carra

Have you been in love? How does it feel? Probably most of you can relate to it, but what if it ends into a breakup!

If you have been hurt by a failed relationship, this statement may sound familiar. You know well what it means to have your hopes crashed to pieces. The feeling of rejection and humiliation just can’t get out of your mind.  The struggle to get over the pain is intense that you can’t eat, sleep and feel like you’re in an isolated island. And you ask yourself, “Why can’t I forgot that person?”

It’s hard to move on, it’s not that simple to forget someone who've been part of your life, especially if he/she mean a lot to you and share a lot of great memories together. It is not like a light switch that you can just turn them on and off.

HEARTBREAK’S A BLESSING

Breakup sucks, it is the worst part in a relationship, but don’t take it the hard way, It maybe the opposite. You may call break up a blessing if it save you to a relationship which keep no hope of success and omit of getting involved with someone who doesn't love and respect you as a woman.

And for some failed relationship it might be just the beginning. They say that in every ending, there comes a new beginning. A beginning to start your day without that person but accept the fact he/she’s just part of your past, you may be able to view the breakup as a learning experience that will give you a life lesson to don’t trust someone that much. Don’t give your hundred percent to that person, learn to left for yourself. As a teen who’s still growing and changing it is easily to attach to someone that deeply.

DEALING WITH FEELINGS

However, even if breakup might seems to be the best thing to do, still you can’t avoid the pain that’s left. How can you handle the feeling that just don’t seem to go away? One thing for sure, it will not help you to pretend that you’re okay.

It’s natural to feel the pain and upset about what happen into your relationship. But don’t bottle it up. Evince your problem into your trusted friends or to your parents, it can be very helpful that you express your feeling especially in these kind of painful situation, you will need someone to hold on to.

Keeping yourself busy will help you to get over with that mess. You may feel of lost interest in life and even isolate yourself, don’t let your emotion take over your life. You have a life to go through, don’t let yourself be hunt by the past, be with the people who will encourage you in the right path.

Remember, in life you will experience having good days and bad day.  Having a bad days may feel that you just can’t get over with it and that you always listen into love song or sentimental music and daydream about your lost love. Healing a wound (any wound) takes time. But the truth is, if you focus yourself into a positive way of life you will get better. Pray to God for strength. He knows exactly what are you going through and how you feel.

Remember, God loves and he knows that you’re not unlovable, and you are certainly not worthless.

IT TAKES TIMES

As a young individual, one of your great blessing is time, it is an important aspect in every ways of life. There is so much time in front of you to gain more experience and to learn from it. So use this precious time wisely; develop qualities that will help you to become a responsible individual. In that way you will be able to make a wise decision about relationship in the future.

It might seems that it is difficult to handle, but this painful period will pass, and you may be all the wiser for it. As the quote said “A heartbreak is a blessing from God. It’s just his way of letting you realize he saved you from the wrong one.”-unknown

PERSONALITY SKETCH

A Girl with Chinita Eyes

Her name is Claudine L. ViƱas, 17 years of age and lived at Malaguas St. Tigaon, Camarines Sur.  Dhen is her nickname. She’s a short lady, got a short hair cascading over her shoulder, and has a chinita brown eyes. She has a birthmark at the back of her neck. She believe that her distinguish facial feature is a cute, charm and gorgeous young lady. We met on the first day of school in College. She laugh about everything and when she does, you can see about hundreds white teeth – so bright that you almost need sunglasses. When she laugh you can never see her eyes. And when she’s angry she tend to go to church or to her trusted friend that will ease and understand her pain.

Whenever she think of her childhood kitchen, the word that always pop up in her mind is Fried Fish. Her biggest fear is Dark Places. Jokes with sense of humor and logic is what make her laugh out loud. She fell in love once but brokenhearted three times.

Her routine every Saturday is kinda tiring at the same time it’s amazing how she can pull it off. In the morning she’s attending classes, in the afternoon she’s busy doing her job as one of the officer of CAS Student Council while in the evening she join her family for worship which is unmistakably cool in the sense that she dedicated her time to do her duty not just a member of the society but also a student, and a daughter.

One of the strongest memory that stuck in her mind when she was in her childhood years is a “Pasaway” and Spoiled brat because of the fact that she is the youngest in the family not until her adopted brother came into the picture. Being the 1st honor when she was in 3rd year and 4th year of her High School years as her greatest achievement so far.

Her idea of a perfect happiness is having a Peace of Mind and Heart. Her favorite occasion is Monthsary with her Boyfriend and Anniversary with her family and most of all her Birthday. Her most price possession is there house, and the imaginary family service car.  The greatest love of her life is her Mother. Her favorite Journey is the day she was born in this Creep and crazy world she said. The happiest moment of her life is when her mom says she love her.

She hates people who is plastic and fake. And here most despise person is under the name FC girl. Her greatest extravagance is riding a Ferris wheel; fearful extreme tower; and round up. She has no regret in life.

Her most like to have talent is to become a multi-talented individual.  She want to live in a house which she own with her future partner. The quality she like into a man is lovable, caring, understandable, have respect, and most of all gentleman. The traits she most deplore in a person is ‘mayabang’, ‘mapride’ and fake.  She always lie when it’s her birthday because she don’t wants her classmate to go to their house.

Her favorite fiction hero is Thur. But her real life hero is God. She most admire her mother, who is now a widow, yet do everything even the simplest care she gave with all her heart and sacrificed for them in order to fill their needs and wants.

The phrases that she always overuse is “God doesn’t people pull down, instead he made everyone deserve best.”  When I asked her if she will be given a chance to change one thing about herself, what would it be? And she answered me “Nothing. Because everything I have makes me beautiful.” She would like to die in the painless way.  And she don’t want to come back as a person or thing when she die because she believe that God has made only one life with one purpose.

Her motto in life is “Living without God is useless, unless you are the God of your life.”
